Volunteer Opportunities

1) Food Deliveries

Job description: Food deliveries generally happen three Tuesdays a month from 5pm to 7pm and one Saturday a month from 9:15am – 11:30am. Tasks include: loading van at the Feeding Hands Food Pantry in Hillsborough, delivering to recipients in Somerset County.

2) Packing for Food Deliveries

Job description: Packing for food deliveries generally happens three Mondays a month from 11am to 1am and one Friday a month from 11am – 12:30pm. Tasks include: preparing individual orders for the food deliveries at the Feeding Hands Food Pantry in Hillsborough.

3) Sorting Center Volunteers

Job description: Sorting Center Volunteers work at the Sorting Center in Somerville. Tasks include: putting donated items away, packing items for giveaway, etc.

4) Phone Volunteers

Job description: Phone volunteers check the Giving Network voicemail, return calls, provide information via email, etc.

5) Support Household Goods Giveaways

Job description: Pick up donations from local churches and charities, help at the Sorting Center as needed, set up at Good Shepherd for the giveaway, etc.

6) Event Planners for Annual Fundraiser

Job description: Help plan and organize a yearly fundraiser for the Giving Network.
