Request Items

Wish List Requests for household items, small appliances, linens and baby items and furniture are accepted from families and individuals in need that live in private apartments, rooms and homes in Somerset County, NJ. Items handled by the Giving Network are normally used items but confirmed to be clean and in good condition. Items requested will be considered for delivery to your home as those items become available from donations to the Giving Network and after other requests in process before yours. Some items will require a longer wait-time than others (usually beds, dressers, microwaves and vacuums will require longer wait-times).

The Giving Network does NOT deliver:

  • Outdoor Furniture
  • Exercise Equipment
  • Halogen Lamps
  • Clothing
  • Broken or Damaged Items
  • Permanent Fixtures
  • Knick Knacks
  • Large Appliances (refrigerators, stoves, etc.)
  • Computers

Recipients are generally referred to the Giving Network by Social Services, homeless shelters and other organizations that assist those in need.
